Intentional living is one of those phrases that sounds beautiful in theory and completely overwhelming in practice. What does it actually mean to live intentionally? And where do you even start when your calendar is full, your to-do list is endless, and you're just trying to get through the week?
Here's what I've learned from working with hundreds of clients on this exact question.
Start with a single question
Before you redesign your entire life, start here: *What do I actually want?*
Not what you think you should want. Not what looks good on paper. What do *you* want — in your relationships, your work, your daily experience, your body, your sense of purpose?
Most people haven't sat with this question long enough to have a real answer. And that's okay. The practice of intentional living begins with getting honest about what you actually value.
Notice the gap
Once you have a sense of what you want, look at how you're actually spending your time, energy, and attention. Where's the gap between the life you want and the life you're living?
This isn't about judgment. It's about information. The gap is where the work is.
Make one small change
Intentional living doesn't require a dramatic life overhaul. It starts with one small, deliberate choice that aligns with what you actually value.
Maybe it's protecting one morning a week for something that restores you. Maybe it's saying no to one commitment that drains you. Maybe it's having one honest conversation you've been avoiding.
Small changes, made consistently, compound into a fundamentally different life.
The role of support
One of the most powerful things you can do on this journey is work with someone who can help you see your blind spots, hold you accountable, and remind you of your own vision when life gets loud.
That's the work I do. If you're ready to start living more intentionally, I'd love to support you.
